Maveli’s began as a thought on an Onam afternoon. Somewhere between the banana chips and the payasam, Maveli looked around and noticed something odd. While Kerala was still proudly eating its Onam Sadhya year after year, every burger around looked and tasted like it had been flown in from somewhere else. It didn’t sit right with him. After all, this land had some of the best beef in the world. Not just in quality, but in the way it was cooked. Smoky. Spicy. Loaded with coconut slivers and fried onions.

So he did what any self-respecting legend would do. He put that beef in a bun, melted cheese over it, added Kerala’s signature masalas and crisp textures, and built a joint that did justice to both the burger and the beef fry.

Maveli’s is not fusion food. It’s not a gimmick. It’s what happens when a king reclaims what’s his...with pickles on the side.
